Open Sight

WHY: Having grown up as a first-generation Taiwanese-American, I now consider it a blessing as a college student to have reconciled my own differences and stayed true to myself.  The children in NYC Chinatown public schools are denied that opportunity due to lack of resources, and many of them have never been outside Chinatown.

WHAT: My project Open Sight will give the children the opportunity to come into contact with other cultures interactively though a method of show rather than tell.

HOW:  Every Friday, we are holding workshops for the underprivileged children in PS2 to give them an immersive learning through experience of the food, music, and the arts of different cultures.  Come and join us in our venture!
